Hey there! :)
This guide is designed to help you buy correctly, because while we wish we could tell you straight from a vehicle registration plate, we can’t :(
The reason for this is because when we take your details it only gives us the variants involved, and in a lot of cases, cars can have up to 4 different sensors fitted believe it or not!
You will find in nearly all cases however, that the front and rear parking sensors are the same all round :)
So, what do I need to check?
The part number – Part numbers are king! We include original part numbers in every listing in our description and item specifics and it’s really important that this is checked. If you are unable to check this manually then we strongly recommend you give the main dealers a call to try and get it from them.
You will find however that there’s lots of numbers on the sensor, and you’re probably wondering which on earth is the correct one!
Here’s a picture below to illustrate where it is usually located and which one you’re after :) It’s usually the first part number on the sensor
Physical shape – I know this sounds obvious but it really does help to check! Sensors differ in physical shape and it’s usually how the connector end is positioned. Here’s an example of the differences you can face;
The pictures above are both for an S-max but as you can see, the shape of the connector at the end is different. Please make sure to double check this :) The pictures we provide are exact images of what the product will look like.
We hope this helps!
